Hello, I'm Maryellen Jamieson.

I have had a passion for assisting people from all walks of life and helping them discover their own journey in helpful, healing ways.

I believe that everyone deserves a chance to live a fulfilling life and should be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As such, I strive to offer support and guidance whenever possible so that everyone can feel empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

About Me.

Hi,

For over three decades, I have been passionate about walking alongside people from all walks of life, helping them discover healing, resilience, and renewed hope.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Grief, change, stress, and personal challenges can leave us feeling uncertain or stuck. Through compassionate, strengths-based counselling, I support individuals and families to move forward with confidence, clarity, and courage.

My work has spanned private practice, not-for-profit organisations, church-based and community programs, and volunteer leadership roles. Throughout my career, I have been committed to offering ethical, compassionate, and professional care to those I serve.

I aim to create a safe and welcoming space where individuals feel valued and understood.

My earlier career as a Registered Nurse provided me with deep empathy, strong observational skills, and experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. This clinical foundation continues to inform my holistic approach to counselling.

I have worked across diverse cultural and socio-economic contexts and am committed to inclusive, respectful practice for all people.

My goal is to walk alongside you with care, insight, and hope.

Individual Counselling

Confidential, professional counselling tailored to your unique circumstances. Whether you are navigating grief, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, or personal growth, I provide a safe and respectful space where you can be heard and supported.

Bereavement & Suicide Loss Support

Grief can feel isolating and deeply painful. You do not have to walk this journey alone. I offer compassionate individual support and facilitate bereavement groups to help individuals process loss, build coping strategies, and gently move toward hope again.
I am a facilitator for The Network. If you have lost a loved one to suicide and would be interested in connecting with a support group, you can contact me or click the link below.

Children & Family Support

With extensive experience working with children and families, I support emotional development, resilience building, and positive family relationships. My approach is strengths-based and nurturing, helping families feel empowered and connected.

Group Programs & Community Engagement

I facilitate support groups and community-based programs that build resilience, foster connection, and strengthen wellbeing in safe and supportive environments.
